Alex Lawes is the head brewer at Whiplash, which he co-founded and owns with business partner Alan Wolfe. Whiplash began as a side project in 2016, yet by the end of 2017 Alex and Alan were running Whiplash full time—brewing Whiplash beer across Ireland and Europe. In 2019 they completed their microbrewery build in Ballyfermot, Dublin – the location of the Whiplash headquarters. Whiplash beers are now exported to the UK, Italy, Spain, France, Finland and the Netherlands.
